Martin Avery Competition

This competition, dedicated to the award winning creative photographer Martin Avery, is held every year to celebrate creativity in photography. The host society this year was Poulton-le-Fylde PS and the prints were judged by Richard Spiers DPAGB Hon PAGB Hon NCPF.

Only five clubs were invited to enter this select competition, which was held on Thursday 5th March 2026. Each club had to submit ten prints and Chorley PS emerged the winners of this elite group. Poulton came second, only a single point behind.

The scores were :
1st Chorley PS 188 points
2nd Poulton-le-Fylde PS 187 points
3rd Southport PS 183 points
4th The Evolve Group 182 points
5th South Liverpool PS 169 points
