There was an excellent entry for the first Set Subject Challenge of 2022-23. 18 members entered 76 images on the night, which were commented upon and judged by Craig Bevington. Craig assessed how well each image met the criteria for the Challenge as well as their photographic merit. The winning image was "Ship Shapes" by Ray Wilson (pictured). Second was "Alien Rain" by new member David Watson and third was "Blue Water Drop" by Philip Thomas, another new member. Four images were Highly Commended: "Fan Coral" (Gill O'Meara), "Mystical" (Steve Cushing), "Red on Green" (Val Fillingham) and "Road Study" (Tim Gartside).
