This elite competition, dedicated to award winning creative photographer Martin Avery, is held every year to celebrate creativity in print photography. Poulton PS won the competition last year and were consequently asked to host the 2026 event. It was judged by Richard Speirs DPAGB from The Northern Counties Photographic Federation. Poulton were pipped at the post by a single mark by Chorley PS, whilst Southport PS, The Evolve Group and South Liverpool PS followed closely behind. Three prints in the Poulton entry, by husband and wife team Richard and Gillian O'Meara, gained full marks. Gillian's 'Can You Smell Dinner' is shown here.
